Everything you need to know about AIStorinha, step by step.
To begin using AIStorinha, sign in with your Google account. Once logged in, you will be taken to your Dashboard where you can see all your stories. The first thing you should do is create a child profile: go to Profiles, tap "Add Child", enter their name, age, and pick a fun emoji avatar. You can create multiple profiles for different children, and each will get stories tailored to their age and interests.
Creating a story is easy with our 3-step wizard. Step 1: Choose which child the story is for (or add a new profile). Step 2: Pick a theme (Adventure, Fantasy, Space, or Animals), a visual style (3D, Watercolor, or Cartoon), and the story length (Short, Medium, or Long). You can also set literary style, safety preferences, and even upload inspiration materials like PDFs. Step 3: Chat with the Story Genie to fine-tune the details before generating.
The Story Genie is your personal briefing assistant. In Step 3 of the wizard, the Genie will ask you questions to refine the story: What should be the main lesson? Are there specific characters you want? Any preferences for the ending? You can chat naturally with the Genie, and it will use your answers to craft a detailed story brief. You can also skip the chat and go straight to generation if you prefer.
When you tap "Create My Story", 9 specialized AI agents get to work. The StoryAgent creates a story bible with characters and chapter outlines, drafts each chapter with age-appropriate language, and polishes the prose. The SafetyAgent checks every paragraph for child-appropriate content. The IllustrationAgent creates custom artwork for each chapter. You can watch the progress in real time on the generation screen. The whole process usually takes 2-3 minutes.
Once your story is ready, tap "Read Now" to open the reader. Swipe left/right or use arrow keys to navigate between pages. Each chapter has an illustration at the top and text below. You can change the font size (Small, Medium, Large) for comfortable reading. Want to change something? Select any text to open the edit menu where you can simplify language, fix grammar, or do a custom AI rewrite. You can also regenerate any chapter illustration with a new prompt.
AIStorinha lets you export stories in multiple formats. Tap the Export button in the reader to choose: PDF Document (print-ready format, great for printing a physical book), EPUB eBook (for e-readers like Kindle), Word Document (editable format for further customization), or Animated Video (narrated animation). Exports are processed on our servers and downloaded directly to your device.
Live Mode is an interactive storytelling experience. From the reader, tap "Live Mode" to start. In this mode, the AI narrates the story and your child can interact by speaking or typing. The child can ask questions, make choices, and guide the adventure in real time. The AI adapts the story based on their responses, creating a unique experience every time. Live Mode uses WebSocket for real-time communication.
The "Read to Me" feature uses AI-generated narration to read the story aloud. Tap the "Read to Me" button in the reader to start audio playback. The narration follows along with the current page. You can stop playback at any time. Important: AIStorinha follows a Zero Audio Policy. Your child's voice is never recorded or stored. During Live Mode, voice input is transcribed in real time and only text transcriptions are kept.
Safety is our top priority. Every story passes through the SafetyAgent which performs a two-pass content review checking for: violence/scary content, age-appropriate language, positive values, no harmful stereotypes, and safe endings. Content is tailored to 4 age tiers (2-4, 5-7, 8-10, 11-13) with vocabulary and theme limits. The Parental Gate (a math puzzle) protects access to settings. You can enable content filters to block scary, violent, or inappropriate themes. PIN Protection can be enabled to require the math puzzle for all sensitive areas.
In Settings you can customize: Theme (choose between light themes or calming bedtime mode), Language (English, Portuguese, or Spanish for the entire app), Kid Mode (larger buttons optimized for ages 2-5), Content Filters (auto-block inappropriate themes), Demo Mode (fall back to sample stories if generation fails), and Audio Recording (enable/disable voice interaction in Live Mode). The Danger Zone lets you delete all local data if needed.
