In her family bakery after sunset, the shop door was locked, but the back kitchen was wide awake. Lanterns glowed, and a thin moon peeked through the big window.

Chef Aurora, her silver hair pinned up, brushed flour from her hands and smiled. “When the moon shines in that window, this kitchen becomes the Moon Bakery,” she said. “And our job is to bake moon bread for night workers across town.”
